John, Thanks for the info. Curious why you use the right angled
jacks and not straight?

I'm thinking of building a line of modules, but right now
focusing on one-off custom instruments. They don't use 3.5mm.

I have seen a nice 3.5mm jack that has a lovely domed nut. If I
was building modules I would use those. Don't know where to get
them yet.

like this but for 3.5mm

reading over the Euro-Synth spec on Elby Designs today. Is
this something that is now in practice? Who is now using the
color scheme for I/O? Relating this to computers it was
somewhat successful to have various colors assigned to all
of the ports in the rear. To me almost strange, because who
could confuse a parallel port with a serial port, etc. It
seems to make sense to use a few standard colors for synth
I/O, due to all ports being identical, but I am sure some
people would say " it clashes with our custom graphics".
It could be like expert-mode, where labeling is kept to a
minimum and the colors do the talking.
