I used an older model of this, no complaints, but as was said
earlier, probably needs some attenuation before feeding it.<br>
It has double the channels you wanted, though, and a lot of mic
preamps you don't need which probably add to the cost..<br>

It's cheap (60 usd) and amazing. I abandoned ProTools
after 15 years of professional use in favor of Reaper.</div>

channel interface. I have one of those for live
use and it works fine. It's a Behringer and it
uses cheap noisy opamps though, so the
Audiofiles in the group will cringe at this
suggestion, lol.

interface will do, but some may not
handle modular levels well, so you
need to attenuate them. You can
attenuate directly at your VCAs or
anywhere in your path, or make
yourself a panel with 8 passive
attenuators. It's the easiest DIY job
in existence, basically 8 pots and 16
jacks wired as variable voltage
dividers, like this:
