Well, I can see this from a few angles. I'll just throw this in.

One objection to this regular posting of a link to a new module
assembly video was that it's not as "synth DIY" as it should be.
Then I wonder, what's more Synth *DIY*: A video showing the
assembly of a synth module - or 50 posts about an issue about a
long obsolete commercial drum sampler or something like there was
recently? Something I personally don't care about at all, but am
willing to have flood my in-box, for the sake of the other
subjects.
I don't emember complaints, though. Perhaps because it's a typical
topic that comes up here once in a while and we are used to see.
Maybe repairing old machines loosely categorizable as "synth"
yourself is really "synth do-it-yourself" enough, I don't know.

I can see, though, how somebody wouldn't want to be regularly
reminded of the same topic which he does not care about.
So long only one person is doing that, once per week, it's not
much to click "delete" on in the inbox, though, I guess. It is
less effortful than disposing of the damned free newspaper that
you *still* don't want, but I can see how someone might be rolling
eyes over being reminded again ;)

Perhaps it's also not necessary to post in that video thread for
every single video that's made.
I mean, youtube does have a "subscribe to channel" feature, for
those who like to see it regularly and might even contribute
feedback as requested. So perhaps it would be sufficient to post a
message about the youtube channel once in a while, to inform
people who are not aware of its existence or content yet, or might
be interested but haven't looked yet and forgot about it.

Personally, I don't mind at all, although I
agree that kit reviews are on the edges of Synth
DIY. My favourite posts are the ones where
people share the results of their latest
research and what they've been up to, since I
learn most from those. Maybe do a video showing
how you designed a filter around the LM13700 or
something?

I think Quincas' videos are going to promote
our hobby to people who might not have come
across it otherwise, and I think that's a good
thing, so he has my support. He's asking for
feedback on the videos from a informed audience,
which seems like a good idea. Finally, it's a
quiet day on the list, so it's not like he's
clogging things up when everyone's busy, and we
don't have to watch if we're not interested.
