<div dir="ltr">Hi Busby,<div><br></div><div>I've a very mixed system in my Eurorack, so I can tell you about some of my digital/hybrid modules. Two of them use the Teensy, which is a more powerful option to an Arduino. You can use the Arduino code and vast library of projects, but it's a tiny board and way faster and more powerful than a regular arduino. The modules I have that use it are the Ornaments and Crime and the Radio Music/Chord Organ. Olivier can correct me if I'm wrong but the Mutable Instruments digital modules such as Braids, Elements and Clouds, genreally use very powerful ARM processors, as does the Axoloti. Our own (VBrazil Modular) Modules by Vinicius Brazil use a variety os DS PICs and are programmed in the chip's assembler for very low-level programming. No OS to load or language to compile. Sample Rates go up into the MHz so FM behavior between oscillators is as rich as analog.</div><div>As for ADC/DACs, some chips already have them inside, some don't. The Ornament and Crime for example uses a <a href="http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dac8565.pdf">http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dac8565.pdf</a></div><div>There's a lot you can do with an <a href="http://www.axoloti.com">www.axoloti.com</a> board too, which already has everything inside, from high quality Stereo I/O and Midi I/O (including USB and Din) analog ins and outs, and comes with a visual programming language that is as intuitive as it gets. I will note that I've seen a few DIY projects that used the MCP4822<br>
