</style></head><body style=""><div>My main modular is 4 rows (3U) of 230TE/HP, it takes a bit of thinking to come up with a logical structure for the modules, but I never need to patch something from far left to far right.</div>
<div>You do use somewhat longer patch cables, 60/80/120 (cm) rather than 40 and 60 cm lengths. that rack has wooden rails.</div>
<div>I have a bunch of short rails from work (35TE or thereabouts) and a friend of mine had a good use for them, just use a piece of M5 threaded rod to couple them together (or to a 84TE rail). It sounded plausible, haven't tried it out.</div>
<div>The location of the screw hole (which is usually used to couple the rails to the cheeks) is not standard though, so finding a random different rail which works well (there's not that much allowance for tolerances) is going to be hit or miss.</div>
