Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone here knows much about the ADAT protocol or can recommend any resources that describe the bitstream requirements in detail?

I'm trying to send a left-justified 16bit I2S signal through a Wavefront AL1401AG, which sends the ADAT signal through a light-pipe to an audio interface (in my case a MOTU 828 mk III hybrid, though I've tried a few). The AL1401
is sending a data stream that corresponds in some way to the I2S signal going to it, and that signal is finding its way to the receiver (I've tested with a separate receiver), but no audio interface will sync to the ADAT's clock or receive the audio.

I'm having a hard time troubleshooting the problem, because I'm not sure what the bitstream should look like, and what aspects of the signal are required for the audio interface to sync to its clock. If anyone on the list has any experience with the Wavefront
ADAT chips, has any advice or knows of any resources that could help, I would be very grateful!

Thanks a lot.
