<div dir="ltr">Yes Pete. I have the BSP and indeed it uses TRS, while the Beatstep uses only TS. And I concur, there's no need to connect the ground from the midi cable to the receiving end, so it's easy enough to leave the Sleeve free and just connect tip and ring, thus avoiding the problem with the grounded panel. Works just fine. Hid it all behind a 4 HP panel.
