<p dir="ltr">According to oldcrow on MW the two companies that bankrolled this - Doepfer and Dave Smith - to the tune of $40k each. No doubt they were fully aware of this new supply of these chips and not making them available to others would have given them a competitive advantage.  This is actually quite normal - there are many custom ICs designed for specific requirements for customers that are not available on the open market. </p>
