<div dir="ltr">dear sdiy,<div><br></div><div>although i'm mostly a software guy, i've done a fair amount of building modular synth modules and music gear, and my record for stuff working after i've built it is pretty good. so i trust myself with thru-hole assembly and maintenance etc.</div><div><br></div><div>however, the little company for which i work is now planning a hardware product, which is currently in prototype. we'd like to be able to make small fixes (reattach cable to barely visible resistor, etc) without bouncing back to our EMS, which costs money and time.</div><div><br></div><div>question - what kind of gear would an EMS have to make SMD rework "easy" ? is such gear affordable for small operations such as ours? is it just a case of a big magnifying glass and a narrow solder point, or is there more to it?</div><div><br></div><div>thanks much for any help with this!</div><div>Jason</div><div><br></div></div>
