<html><body style="font-family: Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">This thread inspired me to unboxed my music mags yesterday and put them up in the new bookshelf. I've got (at least) three of the missing E&MMs (Apr 85, May 86, Sep 86) to scan and send through, plus Music Technology Dec 88, and maybe some others.<br><br>Cheers,<br>A.<br><br><br><blockquote><br>----- Original Message -----<br><div id="origionalMessageFromField" style="width:100%;background:rgb(228,228,228);"><div style="font-weight:bold;">From:</div> "Colin f" <colin@colinfraser.com></div><br><div id="origionalMessageToField" style="font-weight:bold;">To:</div>"synth-diy" <synth-diy@dropmix.xs4all.nl><br><div id="origionalMessageSentField" style="font-weight:bold;">Cc:</div><br><div style="font-weight:bold;">Sent:</div>Tue, 29 Mar 2016 00:54:29 +0100<br><div id="origionalMessageSubjectField" style="font-weight:bold;">Subject:</div>Re: [sdiy] Music magazines archive site<br><br><br><br>

Ah, hadn't noticed that - he's only scanned 2 so far.<br>
No wonder. It's difficult to get a decent scan without taking the staples<br>
out so you can lay the pages fully flat, and these old mags suffer a lot<br>
from bleed-through of opposite pages, and artifacts from the printing<br>
process that need moire filtering.<br>
Image PDFs get large pretty quickly too, I hope he realises how much<br>
bandwidth is going to start costing if his site gets popular...<br><br>
Cheers,<br>
