I get very good results with Novus plastic polish and scratch remover. For this type of work, it's the s*it. Unfortunately, it's not cheap - but an 8 oz. bottle will probably last you a pretty long time. It comes in three grades, labeled Novus 1, 2, or 3. The #3 grade is for working on deep scratches, and the #1 is strictly for cleaning and polishing surfaces that already have the scratches removed. If you're just going to get one bottle to try, definitely get the #2, since it does a little of both things. I use to use it to take minor scratches out of keys on Yamaha units that were subsequently sent back to Yamaha for sale as B stock. It would make the keys look brand new. I use the #2 grade for everything.<BR>

You can use heavy paper towels to do the work, or better yet, those blue industrial "shop towels". If you're working on deep scratches, you can try applying some to the surface, then working it around with a cloth buffing tip on a Dremel tool (set to the slowest speed -- you don't want to create divots in the keys!)<BR>

You can also use the #1 grade to polish clear plastic lenses, such as front panel LCD covers. It'll take away that foggy, cloudy look, and leave a nice shine. The #2 grade works, too, but be careful with how hard you rub.<BR>
