<div>  I have found the service manual for sale at several places. I can't bring myself to purchasing one because it's not my synth and I don't intend on exploring the circuit indepth.</div>

<div>  I've opened it up and made some progress identifying some of the problems. The keys are kinda interesting. Each key has two skinny long springs that trigger the notes and such. The springs have unwound on one key and the plastic mechinism on another is missing. The individual keycards for each key are located below the top three pcbs. The standoffs have hinges so you can lift the top pcbs away! One keycard is missing. That all explains what's wrong with three keys but there are four or five others that don't work or only work some of the time. From what I've read about the Polymoog, this is typical and usually the problem lies with the keycard connectors. Haven't checked that out yet.

<div>If it's not too much more trouble, can you explain the the CV input jacks? For example there is the Ext Syn jack and the Trig Mode jack  connected by a white line and has "on" above and "off" below it? What does this mean and how do I use it? I have a modular synth and I want to experiment with connecting the two. I'm wondering if there are things I should be careful of ?

<div>There is a short brown extention cord inside the case along the left side. One end is soldered to the main power switch and has female two prong recepticles. The othe end is a two prong male plug which is attached to a transformer, toggle switch, and two pin (DIN?) connector. Is this for a light? The Polymoog has lots of real estate on top for a bunch of effects so a light could be useful. Am I correct in guessing this is a lamp? If so, what kind of lamp/light does it call for?
