built a weird 555 based vco once that I adapted from a circuit in the
Electronotes preferred circuit collection. I personally liked the way it
sounded, but everyone's right when they say it pulls way too much current.
if you go with a 555 circuit, use the cmos variety 7555.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
