<BODY bgColor=#ffffff>
<DIV>Hi all,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Sorry for the delay with regards to the Monowave but I have been having fun
(!) translating all of Paul's schematics (sorry Paul, the writing is too small
for me to read nowadays...)</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Anyway, that process is now done and I have posted the new schematics on my
web at <A
href="http://www.elby-designs.com/monowave/index.htm">http://www.elby-designs.com/monowave/index.htm</A>
</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The graphics on the schematics (pots, switches etc) are included to
indicate where connections on the main board are run to the front panel.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have tried to keep as close to the original design as possible but the
changes to note include:-</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<OL>
<LI>processor upgraded to the ATMEGA16/ATMEGA32</LI>
<LI>onboard power supply (now only requires +/-24VDC (18 minimum)</LI>
<LI>consolidation of cable connectors with the result that the system now only
requires 3 off 40-way connectors</LI>
<LI>re-layout of pcbs to accommodate new connector arrangement.</LI>
<LI>original multi-pcb design consolidated in to a 2-board design (1) main
board with power supply and pcb-mounted MIDI connectors (option on board for
off-board mounting), (2) front panel pcb</LI>
<LI>front panel pcb redesigned to take panel mounted pots and switches,
substantially reducing project wiring requirements</LI>
<LI>front panel now caters for a 2x16 LCD (software still only uses one line
at present)</LI></OL>
<DIV>I still have a bit of work to finalise the pcbs but they should not be far
away now.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If anyone would like to go over the schematics and give me feedback that
would be greatly appreciated.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks go to Paul for his assistance with this over the past few weeks. I
know he is busy with other things and I am sure he would rather not have to go
through this all again, but hopefully it will be worth all the effort.</DIV>
<DIV><BR>Best Regards</DIV>
