You might have some troubles with power usage and noise with the scanning<br>
LED array.  Filters, or no... you will never use it in direct sunlight. It would probably<br>
not work in very bright light  either.<br>

Did anyone see the Axcel Re-synthesizer touchpanel ?  LEDs rear mounted in a PTH<br>
circuit board with touch contacts. This would not cost much money these days, and would be MUCH more robust.<br>
