The 3080 is an OTA which works differently than an OpAmp.  To my

knowledge there is no 'drop in' replacement for the 3080 so it has a

high value if for no other reason than repairing the huge number of

As a newbie, I've got to ask what is all the hype about?  Is there no other<br>amp that will work, or maybe even combination of other components that will<br>do the same job?  Seems like the same thing applies to all those SSMxxxx
