burnt by a <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">s-diy</SPAN></SPAN> <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">listmember</SPAN></SPAN>.
I find that sometimes the attitude of the buyer can be a determining
factor. I don't know this is true in any particular case, but it seems that
(more than once) the ones to shout the loudest were the last to be satisfied.
I think there is some effect in how long the person has been on the list as
well.
Long time members have their own honor to uphold. I have sent checks to some
for 'four figures' and not been worried.
I have sold some boards to <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">listmembers</SPAN></SPAN> as well, just a few. I would consider
myself
a 'slow shipper' so I have no complaints against anyone else.
The 'one' time I was less than satisfied was from an AH transaction, and even
then
the seller was not a 'bad trader'. I bought an item expecting it to be in
better
condition than it was. But as I described, maybe I over-bid. Live and learn.
In some cases, people consider someone they sent money to a 'business' rather
than
a friend helping them out. My example of THAT one would be <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">EFM</SPAN></SPAN>. <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">TomG</SPAN></SPAN> sells
his boards as a way to maintain his own hobby... Its a service to the community
to
sell them so cheap. Then people want to know why they can't track orders on
line...
<SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">SH</SPAN></SPAN>!T ... have you guys ever bought anything from Newark ???
(<SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">btw</SPAN></SPAN>... I got the new Newark catalog in the mail. I glanced through it for
about
fifteen minutes. I looked for 'potentiometers' and found only the real expensive
>$50
stuff. Seems they considered <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">Bourns</SPAN></SPAN> to be 'panel controls'. After the brief
look I gave it to one of the software kids to demonstrate his 'telephone book
ripping' skills. <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">Woah</SPAN></SPAN>
what a terrible <SPAN class=correction id=""><SPAN class=correction id="">testamony</SPAN></SPAN> for a retailer !!!)
