<div>Hey Jamie,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Unfortunately, it's not as simple as running MIDI through a signal processor/envelope follower to recover a clock signal. Basically, the MIDI Clock signal is digital information, and there are several words of info that have to be captured, interpreted, and turned into a "normal" clock signal that can drive a regular analog sequencer. It sounds like what you need is one of the "MIDI to sequencer interface" chips from Blacet

<div>You feed the MIDI signal in, and you get clock pulses out. There are some good examples on the data sheet. Hopefully this will do the trick for you. It's about $16, and that's pretty cheap considering how much of the 'digital housekeeping' it does for you.
