<DIV><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2>Okay, the broken TR-909 arrived today. The
problem associated with the unit was described as "<FONT face=arial
color=black>will sometimes power up and work for a minute or so, but
it always locks up. Sometimes it wont power up at all." I tried a few
times to get the unit to power on but was not able to. I took it apart and
inspected the boards. To my newbies eyes, everything appeared okay. The pcbs
didn't have any cracks, the solder looked good (no cracks), no burnt diodes or
popped capacitors or anything of the sort. Everything was complete, and the unit
wasn't too dirty or dusty.</FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Beyond this initial inspection I don't know where
to continue. I have a cheapy multimeter, but haven't taken the time to learn to
use it. Would this be the ideal time?</FONT></DIV>
