parts, but values are restricted to 250k+250k, 250k+500k and 500k+500k

Perhaps you are referring to the old Centralab "mod-u-pot", you could

I have pulled dual concentrics out of car stereo's where you can find a<BR>>
"dual" concentric with a dual audio taper and a back dual linear taper,
