leads, and solder with isopropyl alcohol just before soldering to remove any
surface contaminants, as well as after soldering to remove flux. The flux is
not intended to be a general cleaning agent, it is to remove any oxides present
at the time of soldering, most of which is due to the heating of the
metals. Also that I should cut the solder with wire cutters, rather than just
pulling/bending it to break off pieces, as this stretches the solder and leaves
sections without flux.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
