It's broke.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I realize this is a DIY-synth mailing list, but it
is the best place I can find to get some feedback, suggestions and/or solutions
to this problem.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Here's the situation:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It made some sounds when I first received it, but
not all. Notably absent was the kick and snare. The next day it made fewer
sounds. Today it doesn't make any. As it is now, when I hit "Start/Stop" all I
hear is a sudden increase in noise. When I hit "Start/Stop" again the noise
stops.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Also, the first day I received it I could barely
hear the audio using the "high imp" audio-out. I instead had to use the "low
imp" out, which was still quiet, though not as bad.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I opened it up to see if anything obvious could be
causing the problem. The only thing even remotely unusual, to me, is a possibly
relocated ground wire.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have pics of this ground wire (66kb) and other
hi-res pics of the machine's interior if anyone is interested in having a
look.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Many, many thanks in advance.</FONT></DIV>
