<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>My main concern is my health right now and I'm
looking into fume extraction systems from Weller and Nederman. I'm leaning
towards the Weller bench filter because I have the iron for it already (at tip
extraction).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've managed to create my own with the house
central Vac hooked up to the Weller TC-201 FE, and I have had some success but
it's not perfect (some fumes escape).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>My question is has anyone used either the Nederman
"hoods" or Weller at tip FE's and which do they prefer ?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The Weller is much cheaper but it's only for
soldering whereas the Nederman is useful for solvents and other noxious fumes
but requires venting to the outside (not a prob in summer).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Also have there been any new developments in the
solder itself, it's not the lead per se that 'triggers' my asthma but the other
'stuff'.</FONT></DIV>
