<DIV> Actually, IIRC he didn't get them from Tom, I believe
Doug Curtis had them left over from when Tom was building MSR-2s and
ProSynths. Whenever Tom needed them, he got them from Doug. Then Marion went
bust and Doug had a number of these chips left over. Dave Smith was able to
utilize them in Evolver so Doug supplied him with them. </DIV>

<DIV> Considering what happened through his career, it's no wonder he
really doesn't want to get back into the synth biz. What with losing Oberheim
Electronics name and all, then Marion Systems going out, which is too bad he
couldn't get different modules made for the MSR-2. The concept was cool and
I was looking forward to seeing a sampler module and a Wavestation module, but I
guess nobody wanted to make them for it unless it sold in high numbers.
After Marion there was Seasound but that didn't do well either. </DIV>
