Two disadvantages...

<p>1) its likely the load you are driving will be less than 1 megohm and

that

<br>will screw up the linearity of the pots (maybe bad, maybe good)

<p>2) 1M is a rather high value unless the load is real high impedance,

<p>Try it, no harm done. Just don't solder in all fifty of them until you're

happy
