likely that the cap has failed as it as it would have to have failed by changing
it's capacitance to a much "greater" value than stock, also the faders are
getting notorious as time goes by. Because the faders are relatively
"cheap" models side to side action (most inadvertent from moving or brushing
with the hand) slowly causes the housing to loosen up. If this is the case
the "wiper" of the pot isn't always in contact and it performs as if the pot is
all the way "on". Dirt could also cause the "wiper" to not make
contact. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

would try to clean it with std contact spray (you'll get lot's of opinions on
what is best to clean pot's but in this case contact cleaner is a good
start). Give it a good bath. If this doesn't fix it then you may
have to remove the slider caps, un-screw the top housing. If you do this,
look at the glide pot and check to see if the housing is "loose". If so
carefully look at it and find where you can use pliers to re-seat the
housing. Test it to see if it is now working.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial color=#000000 size=2>hi list!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>i have a couple problems I'm trying to work out,
but the one I wanted to ask you folks about is this issue I've had with my MG-1
for quite awhile. very frequently, I've noticed that the "Glide" control acts
like its turned all the way up when really, its not. i can't quite tell what
sets it off, but once in awhile the machine acts like it just drank a bunch of
cough syrup. I've looked at the schematic and I'm thinking somethings up with
either the slider R63 or cap C13, but wanted to know if anybody has experienced
this sort of behavior before I go swapping stuff out. Oddly, a friend of mine
with his own MG1 is having the same problem, so if anyone has any thoughts on
the matter, y'all could make me look really cool in front of my friends if i can
get this fixed. thanks!</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
