used for other things. At this point you aren't using the $3 codecs (includes
ADC/DAC) they use for your typical sound card, higher end ones will use separate
ADC/DAC. Also most audio converters have some sort of digital filter and analog
filter, typically around 40 kHz. ADC/DACs used in acquisition cards are usually
have either 8 or 10 bits, some stuff is getting up into the 12 and 16 bit realm.
These converters are the type they use in digital scopes and test equipment
and are very expensive.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
