the head honchos at ARP did very well after the company self-destructed. I
wonder if they at least recovered some of the losses by selling the Chroma to
Fender. On the other hand, I wonder if the name, rights and IP could be bought
cheaply by some SDIY millionaire with a lot of time on his/her hands (are there
any of you out there? If so, are you looking to adopt a 40-ish heir?). To tell
you the truth, I wonder if any of the ARP stuff is still protected. Did Fender
buy ALL the ARP patents, ideas, etc, or just the Chroma? If someone was going
to reissue an Odyssey or something like that, I would hope they’d at
least attempt to do the right thing, but I doubt that anything legally enforceable
is still in effect. </span></font></p>
