<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hello,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> I recently
purchased a siel px piano from somebody on e-bay and I don't think that it's
working properly. Has anybody heard of this model? I searched the internet up
and down and I couldn't find ANYTHING at all about this keyboard. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The chorus button seems to give little, if any
effect on the sounds. Sometimes when it is depressed, six or seven of the preset
LEDs will light dimly, along with the preset that I have chosen. I was wondering
if it could be a problem with the power supply. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Another problem with the unit is that with most of
the presets except for about two or three, the keyboard seems to be one third a
"rhodes" type sound, the middle being a raspy "loose tine" rhodes and the last
third is the same sound as the first third. I notice that there are three boards
on the inside of the piano, one labeled low, middle and high. Each of these
boards has two Texas Instrument chips labeled "TMS3617NS", except for one board
which looks like one has been replaced with a "TMX3617ANS", I'm assuming that
both are probably simlar. These chips are in sockets, this could mean that they
have a chance of failing. I'm not sure what these do, though. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>It seems as if the presets just aren't working
right. I don't know what's wrong with it. Maybe it could be those TI chips?
</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Would it be worth it to take this piano to a repair
tech? Would it be difficult to find parts for it?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Looking inside of this thing is a far cry from the
insides of my Crumar Performer and Elka Rhapsody. I'm somewhat confused, and I'd
like to get this thing running.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Any help and suggestions would be most
appreciated.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Sincerely,</FONT></DIV>
