You can always use an 8 pin wire wrap socket (long tails) and fit it with a DIP.<BR>


Always socket repair chips, if it went bad once, it may go bad again (failure mode).<BR>


The socket saves excess stress on the PCB traces if it has to be replaced again.<BR>
