<DIV><FONT size=2>I have bought a network analyzer in Sweden for $60 :-). It's
the 3040 system from Hewlett Packard.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>But I didn't get the cable for the digital remote control that
fits the synthesizer and the gain phase</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>detector to each other. I have replaced the cable by soldering
flatcable 1:1 between the HP-IB connector </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>ports. </FONT><FONT size=2>And it works for like 50% I think.
But still the readings on the detector don't change when I change
the</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>sweeps per second. This should be the case according to the
manual. Also some other stuff may not be working</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>So I checked if the connections were wrong but I can only find
the connector pinout for the detector in the service manual</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>and </FONT><FONT size=2>not for the sweep generator. So I
cannot be sure that my connections to the synthesizer
are right.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>So here's my question:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Are the HP-IB interfaces always the same in pin out ? Or
are there devices that have for instance the data</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>pins on other pins than other devices ?</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>And does anyone know the pinout for the synthesizer: HP3330A.
It's old probably 25 years.</FONT></DIV>

it would be no problem to measure the</FONT></DIV>
