My 15 month old has this el-cheapo chinese made mini keyboard with loads of buttons and virtually no instructions. It's got a simple sequencer, a drum machine, and a canned song selector. He's basically got the whole thing figured out now. I'm not saying he's any child genius. I *am* saying that these little brains have a lot more going on inside than is obvious so my advice to a designer is: Don't be afraid to challenge their little minds!
