Synth-DIYers:

Well, I've been lurking here for about two
weeks now, so I thought I'd send my first message. My name is Paul Zyla,
and I'm a 17 year old kid from West Virginia who is extremely interested in
building and modifying my synths. I own an Alesis QS7, an ARP Axxe, a
Roland SH-1000, a Yamaha TX81z, and a home-model Wurlitzer EP (one of the ones
with tubes). I'm not that experienced in Synth-DIY stuff; I did a small
mod to my Axxe adding a switch to the LFO triggering, and I have built a PAiA
midi2cv8 that I can't get to work. I have a pretty good basic knowledge of
electronics, and I know which end of my soldering iron is the hot end.

Anyway, my question is: How difficult
would it be to add a few patch points to my Axxe? I found myself really
wishing that I could patch the square LFO to the VCA the other night, and then I
thought that I'd really like to be able to patch the square LFO to a bunch of
other stuff, too. That, and I'd like to add a point so that I could patch
an envelope follower to the filter so that I could use it rather like an
auto-wah with my bass. I know that this would probably be a pretty
involved process, but is it over my head? I'm really wanting to turn my
Axxe into something weird. The idea intrigues me. ;) Thanks in
advance for all your help.
