AKM had three different process in that fab. The 8 inch stuff was more traditional and they got Renesas to fab those for them.  The 6 inch CMOS was also transferred but I'm not sure where.  But the 6inch DI was used for all the products that were scrapped at that time.

What?! The AKM fire destroyed another fab with the same process? Wow, that makes a pretty abrupt ending to DI in audio. :-/
The AKM fire was stressful, I had to make some quick emergency redesigns in the middle of both covid pandemic and general chip shortage. But today's memory chip turmoil is probably much worse. :-)
