[sdiy] CoolAudio?

Had a look at their site and they now advertise that they do reliability testing, can imagine that is indeed a good business model. But they were a bit of an ailing fab as I recall, until Girts Ozolins started promoting them (and managed to pursuade them to make something more interesting than a 3046 clone), and going from 1 or 2 products (synth related) to what they are doing now does not sound like a side hustle. But for sure not high end/ high volume. At the time they had pictures of their offices on the site, like stepping back in the 80's :-)It also seems that they are now participating in EU initiatives, so definitely found a future proof path.Sent from my Galaxy

As far as I can work out, the Alfa process is 2 micron BiFETs on 3" wafers.   So probably not suitable for the devices THAT are obsoleting, but they may be able to produce something compatible.  However their fab is kept going by space work, and the audio chips
 are a sideline.

Probably best to try Alpha from Latvia 🇱🇻

Cool audio is part of music tribe and they populate most of Behringer crap.. doubt they will shut up shop but most likely won’t be selling to small timers like us

Has anyone checked the CoolAudio website recently?
Have they shut up shop as well?
