[sdiy] Polysynths: 8 voice or 16 voice?

16 voices on an instrument that's not multitimbral feels like a bit much.

If it's analog with some analog drift between the voices I would prefer
something in between: 12 voices with the possibility to play two voices per
note with full stereo spread. That leaves 6 voice full stereo polyphony,
just enough for two handed chords. Without such voice consuming features I
would go for 8 voices.
