[sdiy] Nice rubbery power cord source?

Pretty much every OTS power cord is the awful plastic stuff. I had better
luck with the raw 3 wire 18ga stranded cable sold on spools at Lowes or
Home Depot (in the US), and assemble power cords from the spool. Plus raw
cable is cheaper than OTS cords.
