It looks like there's supposed to be a diagnostics mode (look at the bottom of that page).  Can you boot into diagnostic mode and initialize the memory?

This may be off topic, but I have an E-mu Ultraproteus that powers up, but the screen is blank. I replaced the internal lithium battery but that didn’t help. Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with one. Someone suggested it might be a problem with the power supply.
