And some of those motorized faders. That would be cool for recall.

Recall of preset temperaments is one thing, but think about it this
way. When playing a violin, fretless guitar, or theremin, the artist
adjusts their intonation in real time. This could easily happen with a
synthesizer as well, and all you need is high precision, freely
adjustable controls. The adjustments are done by ear during
performance. For example, if you have a pad chord that uses a fifth,
you could - just for that moment - tune one of the notes you'd be
using so it's off key a little, but fits better to the harmony you are
building. I strongly believe this would be a great performance
controller that people could get really adept at using.
