Thanks to everyone who replied. Lots to think about.

How about this one?:

A step up from the ubiquitous 24MHz toys. It's cheaper on Amazon than AX today and the software runs on my existing system. Nothing else works off the bat.. What are the hidden gotchas?

Saleae is a bit pricey. Some recommend DSLogic which is in the same price class. I see that some of the newer ones have USB 3. Further thoughts appreciated.

I have a use for this right now. I've wanted one in the past. Does anyone have the PCB?

A big thanks to everyone. I should have done this years ago.
