Very true. If I'm not mistaken you couldn't get any phasing because all
wave forms were in perfect phase lock, being derived from the same source.
Maybe 180 degree was possible but nothing in between. Organs are very cool
that way but that's also a limitation. You need some phase shifting to
generate harmonics naturally. They made all of their own harmonics
artificially.
