I have never used Makera, but if they quote FR-4 then it has to be fiberglass, right?
I've used Advanced Circuits, Prototron, Circuit Services Northwest, and OSH Park. None of those offer single-sided PCB options, so perhaps the low prices you're seeing are just dumping of old stock?
