I think you‘ll get in trouble using a single 555 to do what you need.

But using 2 CMOS IC’s like the CD4049 and a CD4017 you’ll do what you need.

Making a slow oscillator with one of the 4049 inverter (or a small transistor wired to oscillate),

Then wiring a 4017 so it will reset after 3 consecutive outputs

(wiring output ‘4’ pin 7 to reset pin 15).

Make sure pin 13 is wired to the GND.

The first 3 outputs (pins 3,2,4) will do the GREEN,YELLOW,RED.

But since the CD4017 cannot sink or supply enough current
to lite 12v bulbs just use 3 transistors to drive them from the 4017 outs.

But a small PIC would easily do that job with 3 transistors..

Hello hope sum one can help but i got sum Grain of Wheat Bulbs 12V red yellow and green so you can see were i am going with them what i would like to does any have any simple designs like using a 555 or sum other essay to use compotes so make a set of traffic lights so any help would be a big thanks   <https://s.yimg.com/nq/yemoji_assets/latest/yemoji_assets/1f642.png>
