Indeed!
And the separate phone jack solution doesn't suffer from a drawback that we
forgot to address so far:
Not being able to use phones and line at the same time... not even being
able to connect headphones to a synth permanently connected in a studio.

For tiny products the combo-jack design choice might make sense, but for
full-sized keyboard synths? Weird! :-)
