LCSC has quickly grown to be one of the largest distributors in the world so they should be able to source anything direct from the manufacturers.

Even if Thonk did have that ability, I'm trying to skip the multiple ocean crossings for these parts. I have a sizeable stash here in Texas, have already shipped some to JLCPCB, and don't want to do it again!
I will explore the parts request option. It seems like for parts you can't get from a distributor it gets more complicated.

Thonk may not have the forms for re-exporting Chinese made goods back to China. It can be quite complicated. I've had Digikey have to turn down several requests to sent to JLCPCB because of this.

If you strike out in China try Thonk.

Great, thanks Mike. Was this through just emailing support?

Definitely have in my case. For example I needed a quarter reel of a particular transistor so they ordered a whole reel and reserved a quarter of it for me. Same with a tray of STM32 MCUs - no idea how many they had to buy of those but they had them in-stock for several months.
But this was over a year ago so might have changed. They've introduced that system where you can sell your excess stock to others since then.

Have you guys had success getting then to order more of something out of stock? I don't see an easy way to request that here, looks like they are just giving me the option to consign the part.

There's 4 or 5 entries w part numbers so should just be a matter of having them order for you

Ohh no, and that's a great idea!

Have you tried asking LCSC/JLCPCB to stock that part and give it a part number ? They did this with a part I needed about 2 years ago, getting around MOQ problems.

Does anyone know of a source of the popular qingpu jacks (wqp-518ma) for lower quantities directly in china? I have bought direct from them before, but their MOQ has gone up recently. I'm looking for a reseller or broker in China as I'm consigning them to JLCPCB and don't want them to cross all the oceans unnecessarily.
Cheers,
Chris McDowell
