[sdiy] flashing LED?? blinking led FLED (are they internally similar to a UJT?)

Hi List,

Well, it's my browser's bookmarks time to shine!

I have noted in the past that a few Synth people have experimented with
flickering LEDs.

https://cpldcpu.wordpress.com/2013/12/08/hacking-a-candleflicker-led/
This has some statistical analysis on the duty cycles of the flashing LED
they tested

https://www.evilmadscientist.com/2011/does-this-led-sound-funny-to-you/
This has a circuit that uses one flashing LED's current draw to switch a
transistor to make a non flashing LED flash in sympathy with the flashing
LED.

And the Razmasynth has a flicker LED module
https://futurevector.eu/super-warp-generator/
The page no longer has the schematic, but I seem to recall it's just the
LED and current limiting resistors?
Maybe a small cap on the input of the LED to smooth out super glitchy
inputs.

/Edward
