I gave it some more thought, and I figured I can find used mini PCs for a fraction of the price of an rpi5 and with better options in terms of software and hardware upgrades (ie, extra ram, additional storage etc). Meaning I might as well have a windows box with a vst host and a touch monitor or/and usb midi controller and call it a day.
The question still stands though - are there any softsynths that are optimised for a touch screen? Does it feel any good at all to control one with your finger or should I think of something else?
