Can you tell us what you found?

I thought of  suggesting the new simulator Qspice which appears to
have easy programmability for adding digital functions to simulations.
I haven't used it much since I'm mostly set in my ways after a quarter
century of using LTspice. As I need the new features I'll learn more
about it.

Rereading your original post, I'm wondering what do 74HC and 74HCT
libraries do for you that 4000 series don't?
