I made a top octave synth as my first DIY project. It's all cmos based
(even the filter uses 4069 chips like the WASP). I went the route of 12
individual oscillators and 12 dividers, but I did that twice to get a
higher octave that isn't in perfect phase with the lower octave. I can
confirm that all those cmos chips on the same power rail caused a lot of
noise.
