  *   Go to Toshiba Semiconductor's website, click the link for technical help, ask them, wait.  Saves messing around with nasty chemicals.

Wait forever that is.  Been waiting for over a year on them (with reminders) to say if the 2SA1312 will ever be made again, or a decent replacement for it.  Batches of the 2SA1163 are so variable in noise so I now use something else.
